Description

The Engineering forum is an informal gathering open to faculty, students and businesses who are interested in discussing and sharing new technologies, trends, and interesting projects, all in engineering. Types of engineering can include industrial, civil, mechanical, electrical; you get the idea, it's open to all specialties.

Where: Penn State Berks, Gaige Building (Room 247), 1800 Tulpehocken Road, Reading, PA

Time: 3:30 - 5:30PM

At this meeting:

Discussion on LEED engineering and construction considerations, using the Gold LEED certified, newly-opened Gaige Building as a current case study, led by:

Mr. Kim Berry, Senior Director of Business and Operations, Penn State Berks

Another “green” project focused on sustainable lighting using a new solar powered “micro-grid” in the building will also be discussed, including perspectives on working with numerous external partners.

A tour of the Gaige Building is planned following the presentation.
