Click here to view the general information site for the 2014 Disappearing Boundaries Summer Research Meeting at Elizabethtown College.  The meeting will be held this year on Thursday, July 17th.

The DBSRM was established in 2009 to provide a casual forum for communicating and learning science in an atmosphere that promotes networking.  Why the notion of Disappearing Boundaries?  Two reasons.
On the day of the meeting, students and faculty from around Central Pennsylvania overcome the boundary of geographic distance to interact with peers at neighboring institutions.  We have a strong community of faculty in Central Pennsylvania, who are research active and who engage undergraduates in their research endeavors, both during the summer and the academic year.  So there is a lot of good science to talk about with great people!
As science becomes more and more interdisciplinary, the DBSRM was envisioned to be a forum that would provide opportunities for biologists and chemists to learn about each others' research, build connections and start conversations.
So the organizers envision that Disappearing Boundaries can really describe what truly happens on the day of the meeting.

The 2014 meeting is the 5th DBSRM; the DBSRM was held in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 at Lebanon Valley College and now the 2014 meeting is being held at Elizabethtown College.

Elizabethtown College staff acknowledges the Merck-AAAS Foundation for helping them to establish the DBSRM and for funding the 2009, 2011 and 2012 meetings, They also gratefully acknowledge the generous support of LVC for supporting the 2013 meeting and now Elizabethtown College for the 2014 meeting.
