Inc Magazine Editor and Columnist Speak at ITN Event

Harrisburg, PA// 03.03.09 The Innovation Transfer Network (ITN) has attracted two nationally recognized guest speakers in the world of entrepreneurship and small business to an event in Harrisburg, PA.

The ITN will host renowned serial entrepreneur, columnist, and author, Norm Brodsky, as well as Inc. magazine Editor-at-large, Bo Burlingham, to speak on May 5, 2009. The dynamic team launched their current endeavor as co-authors of the book, The Knack, How Street-Smart Entrepreneurs Learn to Handle Whatever Comes Up. Mr. Brodsky, whose most recent transaction was the sale of his company, Citi Storage, is a highly sought-after mentor for business owners. His experience and candid observations can be found each month on the pages of his well-known Inc. magazine column, "Street Smarts."

Joining Mr. Brodsky for the presentation is Bo Burlingham, co-author of The Knack,and Inc. magazine Editor-at-large. During his extensive career with Inc., Mr. Burlingham has interviewed and published articles on a diverse group of compelling entrepreneurs. His previous book, Small Giants, includes conversations with some of the most prominent CEO’s of privately held businesses in the world.

The Knack session is slated to take place at the new high tech educational facility, the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. Following the speakers’ session, a few lucky attendees will have the opportunity to meet in a brief one-on-one with Mr. Brodsky. All attendees can mingle with the speakers during the networking reception and purchase their own copy of The Knack to be signed by the authors.

Prior to the start of the speakers’ session, Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Central and Northern PA will present a $100,000 check award to the winner of this year’s Ben Franklin Big Idea Contest along with a second prize of $10,000 awarded by the York Keystone Innovation Zone. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the winner and judges involved in the competitive evaluation process.
